World Book Week

What a successful week that was. Apart from a Readthon, where children and staff raised cash to help replace our outdated Reading Scheme with exciting and stimulating books, we had a Book Fair and 'Favourite Character Day' (see pictures below). One of the rewards of buying at the Fair was 'free' books for the children- a great success and a wonderful way to encourage a love of books.

Boys Soccer Tournament

All local schools that have been awarded the FA Chartermarkwere invited to Stafford for a tournament. There were no trophies to be won; the aim of the event was to enjoy playing teams from out of the local area. The boys enjoyed themselves so much that they didn't lose a game. Well done, chaps!

Girls Soccer Tournament

This was held one Saturday on June 9th. It was a blisteringly hot day but the girls kept running and chasing and passing - they never gave up. Having won all their games they were awarded the trophy. Well done!

Well Done!

'Summer Fair' - June 29th; 5:00 till 7:00p.m.

Last Friday evening's Fair was really successful and many people turned up to help us raise funds to add to our new Reading Scheme. Despite the rain holding off we held the fair inside the school 'just in case'. Nevertheless, one person did get a little wet. I won't mention his name but he's the Headteacher and should know better than to go out in the wet without a coat or umbrella.
